Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how vodhub ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar storage on vodhub.net. It should be read with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

You can accept all cookies, keep essential cookies only, or choose analytics cookies in the banner. You can change that choice later.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. vodhub also uses browser localStorage for some preferences. Where this policy says "cookies," it includes those similar technologies.

2. Cookies we use

Essential (always on)

These are required for the site to work. They do not require consent under UK PECR. You cannot turn them off in the banner while using vodhub.

• next-auth.session-token (or __Secure-next-auth.session-token on HTTPS): keeps you signed in after Twitch login.
• next-auth.csrf-token and next-auth.callback-url: protect the login flow.
• LOCALE: remembers the language you chose or that matched your browser.
• vh_follows_state: a short-lived security cookie used only when a Pro user imports Twitch follows. It expires after about 10 minutes.

Analytics (optional)

Set only if you accept analytics cookies. We use PostHog (EU cloud) through vodhub.net. We do not use this for advertising, and we do not record your screen.

• PostHog cookies / localStorage (names starting with ph_): page views, page load speed (Core Web Vitals), whether a page is still open or a video is playing, logins, playback starts, Pro-feature prompts, and JavaScript errors.
• After you log in, PostHog may receive your vodhub user id and Twitch username. We do not send your email address to PostHog.

Local storage (not advertising)

These stay on your device so the player and site remember your choices. They are not used to advertise to you:

• vodhub_cookie_consent_v3: your cookie choice.
• theme: light or dark mode.
• Player volume, quality, and similar playback preferences.

Advertising

vodhub does not set advertising cookies and does not use advertising trackers.

3. How long they last

Session cookies last until you close your browser or sign out. Language and analytics cookies can last for months unless you delete them. The follows-import cookie lasts about 10 minutes.

4. Your choices

You can:

• Accept all cookies, including analytics.
• Use essential cookies only.
• Turn analytics on or off in Customize, then save.
• Change your choice later from Settings, or with the Manage cookie choices button on this page.
• Clear this site's cookies and site data in your browser. Analytics will stay off until you accept them again.

If you refuse analytics, you can still use vodhub. Essential login and language cookies will still be used.
